Harri Nykänen
Harri Nykänen (born June 20, 1953 in Helsinki ) is a Finnish writer .
Life
Harri Nykänen worked from 1981 to 2001 as a journalist for the major Finnish daily Helsingin Sanomat . He was often confronted with criminal offenses while working as a police reporter. For example, he researched a tax affair in a case of police corruption in Helsinki.
Nykänen now lives as a freelance writer in the capital Helsinki. Since a 12-part television series (crime thrillers) he has been one of the successful crime novel writers in Finland. Raid is one of the central characters in his crime novels. She is a curious mixture of underworld figure and sympathetic activist. The crime novels about Raid, atypically for the genre, often convey a view of the crime from the delinquent and not from the investigators of the crime (the police, the private investigator, etc.).
Some novels have also been made into films. In 2001 he received the Finnish crime thriller Vuoden johtolanka for Schwärzer als ein black sheep . The first crime novel appeared in 1986.
The German editions of the crime thrillers around the character Raid were published by Grafit Verlag , Dortmund, although the publisher did not stick to the order in which they were published in Finland. Thus came Raid and the fat man only nine years after the Finnish Year in Germany on the market, which limits the transparency about the biography of Kriminalkommissar Jansson: His boss Tuomela was (in as early as 2003 raid and the arsonist retired), whereupon Jansson his successor has been; But Tuomela reappears after three years - in 2006 (in Raid and the Fat Man ) as Jansson's boss.
