Harriss Ridge is an east-west facing mountain ridge in the East Antarctic Mac Robertson Land . In the Athos Range of the Prince Charles Mountains it rises with two small foothills at its western end 3 km northeast of Mount Dovers .
Aerial photographs of the Australian National Antarctic Research Expeditions from 1965 were used for mapping purposes. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia named it after Brian Harriss, helicopter pilot in support of a crew that explored the Prince Charles Mountains in 1969.
The later designated Nunatak Predgornyj is located in the same geographical place, which is why it is possibly the same geographical object.
