Harry Forbes (athlete)

Harry Forbes (born March 19, 1913 , † 1988 ) was a British walker who belonged to the Birmingham Walking Club .

At the European Championships in Oslo in 1946 , he won silver in the 50 km walk with a time of 4: 48.59 hours. In the same year he won the 21st London to Brighton Walk over just under 30 miles. Another success of the year was the British 20 mile title; In 1947 he was able to repeat it and crown it with another over 50 kilometers.
