Harry Mannil

Harry Männil (born May 17, 1920 in Tallinn , Estonia , † January 11, 2010 in San José , Costa Rica ) was an Estonian - Venezuelan businessman , art collector and patron of culture and, according to the Simon Wiesenthal Center, a suspected war criminal .

Harry Mannil was on the list of the most wanted Nazi war criminals. He was accused of having murdered several people, mostly Jews, while working for the security police from 1941 to 1942 during the German occupation. However, after a four-year investigation by the Estonian authorities, no legal crime could be proven.

Männil came to Venezuela in 1946 , where he lived until his death. He founded his own company in 1994.
