Career

Hartmann (2018)

Hartmann became aware of hip-hop music through Berlin rappers in the 2000s. In 2004 he began to write his first rap lyrics and recorded three albums in the following years, which he produced in small numbers, but in retrospect described as unsatisfactory. From 2012 he appeared in the context of the label Stupidozid. Based on the character Quagmire from the cartoon series Family Guy , he chose the pseudonym Swägmeier. Under this he recorded a guest contribution for the song 44 inches , which can be found on Glutamator's album Speech stimulus . The two rappers took up the title 44 inches again the following year and released the EP of the same name as a duo Swägmeier and Dick Rost. In 2014 he placed the songs handicrafts and work on the sampler Hustensaft LP by Stupidozid. He then changed his stage name and from then on appeared under his real surname Hartmann. According to our own assessment, this works via the contrast. While the listener expects a " two-meter hooligan ", he is comparatively small and suffers from a curvature of the leg axis. Hartmann takes an offensive approach to both his physical limitations and his lack of concentration and reading: “ It is completely normal that not everything is 100% OK with you in one way or another. I think that there are just so many people who can handle zero. "

The first solo release was the album Gastarbeiter , a compilation of contributions from 2012 to 2015. In March 2016, the first video Hartmanns HipHop vier Minus followed with Zett in collaboration with the rapper Gossenboss . On April 30, 2016 Hartmann's debut album Daily Life was released . This was produced by Gossenbeats, Ben Credit, TMO Melodic, Monkay, Fleesch and Hartmann themselves. JayTheRapper, Easy Eazt and Ben Credit also appeared as guest rappers. One day after the album, the first video release Intro (Such As Me) was released. Basti Tóth, who had already done the artwork for everyday life , took over the camera and editing work. In the following months, two more videos from his debut album, Da Steht Hartmann and Shift Manager Blues, were released. Arvid Wünsch was the cameraman and responsible for the later editing. Hartmann himself directed all three videos. From the end of November the rapper completed the “100 kilos son of a bitch” tour together with Degenhardt and Gossenboss with Zett. He also accompanied the latter at the Tapefabrik Festival in March 2017. Hartmann also took on a part on waste paper shirt on the album 100 kilos of bad rap by Gossenboss with Zett and Monkay . In the fall he published a video for the song Unisextoilette, produced by Iron Mike . At the beginning of 2018, Hartmann and Gossenboss accompanied Zett on the anarchy and everyday life tour of the antelope gang .
