Hartmut Grasmück

Hartmut Grasmück (born August 18, 1955 ) was the police chief of Heilbronn from 2014 to 2017 .

Professional background

According to the Baden-Württemberg Ministry of the Interior, Hartmut Grasmück took up the police service of the Baden-Württemberg State Police in 1974 in the middle service. In 1979 he was promoted to the higher service, in 1988 to the higher service. From 1988 to 1994 he was at the State Criminal Police Office of Baden-Württemberg. In 1994 he switched to the University of Applied Sciences in Villingen-Schwenningen. In 1995 he returned to the State Criminal Police Office. There he became head of the staff unit (Division 011). He spent the years from 1996 to 2003 in the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg. First he was deputy head of department 32, then head of department 33. In 2004 he became head of the Heilbronn police department. In September 2006 he moved back to the Ministry of the Interior, rose to the position of State Director of Criminal Investigations and became Head of Section 32.

He had been the chief of police in Heilbronn since January 2014 and retired at the end of September 2017. His successor was his previous deputy, Hans Becker .
