Hans Becker (Chief of Police)

Hans Becker (born February 21, 1958 ) is a German police officer and has been the chief of police in Heilbronn since October 2017 .

Professional background

According to the Ministry of the Interior of Baden-Württemberg , Hans Becker joined the police service of the state of Baden-Württemberg in 1974 . In 1986 he was promoted to the higher service , 1995 to the higher service . From 1996 he was deputy head of the situation center at the Ministry of the Interior. In 2002 he took over the management of the Mosbach police department and in 2007 moved to the Karlsruhe regional council as head of the management and operations department. In 2008 he returned to the Mosbach police department as head of the department. As part of the structural reform of the police in 2012 , the Mosbach Police Department was dissolved at the end of 2013. Since 2014 Hans Becker was Police Vice President in Heilbronn and Deputy Police President Hartmut Grasmück .

With effect from October 1, 2017, he was appointed to succeed him as the new head of the Heilbronn Police Headquarters .
