Hartmut Münch

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Hartmut Münch (born October 31, 1942 in Fürstenwalde ) is a former German badminton player .

Hartmut Münch is one of the pioneers of the Badminton Association of the GDR . In 1960 he was runner-up in mixed mixed championships in the first GDR competition and in 1961 third with the Motor Fürstenwalde team at the GDR junior championships. With the change to the former GDR master post Berlin, Münch's big hour struck. In his first season at Post, he was GDR champion in men's doubles with Uwe Trettin. For the team, however, it should never again be enough to win the title: In all four seasons up to 1965, Post Berlin was runner-up behind activist Tröbitz . After that there were no more medals for the post athletes. Due to the lack of a youth team, Post was later banned from the GDR Oberliga. Münch himself was able to fight for two silver and bronze medals in each of the individual disciplines until 1964 before he concentrated entirely on his studies and his job.

Dr. med. Hartmut Münch lives in Fürstenwalde today.
