Hartmut Rensen

Hartmut Rensen (born November 6, 1970 ) has a doctorate in law and has been a judge at the Federal Court of Justice since October 1, 2019 .

Life

Hartmut Rensen joined the state of North Rhine-Westphalia as a probationary judge in 2001 after completing his legal training and working as a research assistant at a chair for civil law . Here he was initially employed at the regional court in Aachen and at the local courts in Heinsberg and Geilenkirchen .

After being appointed judge at the regional court, he returned to the Aachen regional court in October 2004. From June 2006 he was seconded to the Federal Constitutional Court as a research assistant for three years . From July 2010 to May 2011 he worked at the Cologne Higher Regional Court , where he was appointed judge of the Higher Regional Court in March 2012. Since January 2019, half of his workforce has been seconded to the Constitutional Court for the State of North Rhine-Westphalia .

With effect from October 1, 2019, he was appointed judge at the Federal Court of Justice and assigned to the 10th Civil Senate . As a part-time job, Rensen accepted a teaching position at the University of Osnabrück .
