The Hartnackschule Berlin is a private language school in Berlin . The school offers German and English courses for all levels. The school building is located near Nollendorfplatz in Motzstrasse in the Schöneberg district . Today the Hartnackschule is recognized by the Berlin Senate and accepted by all universities , employment offices and other public institutions.
School history
The Hartnack School was founded by Paul Emil Hartnack in Cologne in 1915 and relocated to Berlin in 1936. In 1952 it was taken over by Artur Lauterbach. The school has been part of the Association of German Private Schools (VDP) for decades . Artur Lauterbach was the owner and manager of the Hartnackschue until his death in 1981. Inge Lauterbach was the managing owner from 1981 to 2013. Hartnackschule Berlin has been ISO 9001 certified since 2000 . In 2002 the Lauterbach Foundation was established. The aim of the foundation is to support talented and financially needy course participants at the Hartnack School.
Since September 1, 2013, the long-time headmaster Henning Lauterbach has also been the owner of the Hartnackschule Berlin. Around 100 employees work at the Hartnackschule Berlin. The culture department of the Hartnackschule Berlin offers various excursions to accompany lessons : Winterfeldtplatz , Reichstag , Checkpoint Charlie , Charlottenburg Palace , etc.
