The Haruru Falls are a five meter high waterfall of the Waitangi River near the settlement of Haruru not far from Paihia on the North Island of New Zealand . They are located north of Puketona Road (SH11) in the Far North District and about 2.5 km west of the estuary.

"Haruru" means "loud or thunderous noise" in Māori .

The Haruru Falls was the first European river port in New Zealand. He went back to a sea access of the inland Māori tribes. The first ships to land here were the HMS Dromedary and the Karere . Missionaries reported that they saw 60 to 100 waka (canoes) on the bank at the same time.

A path leads to the Haruru Falls (Haruru Falls Track). One road, the Haruru Falls Road, crosses the river immediately upstream. The waterfall is approached by boats from Paihia up the Waitangi River.
