Harutjun Hakobjan
Harutjun Hakobjan ( Armenian Հարություն Հակոբյան ; Russian Арутюн Амаякович Акопян ; born April 25, 1918 in Igdir , Transcaucasian Democratic-Federal Republic , † January 13, 2005 in Moscow ) was a Soviet-Armenian illusionist .
Life
Hakobjan's father was a blacksmith and his son was to become an engineer . Hakobjan studied engineering .
After seeing a magician at a pop concert, Hakobjan wanted to be a magician . His first appearance was in the dormitory . Then Hakobjan studied in "Mosgorestrada" and became a professional artist.
In 1957 Hakobjan won the international competition in Colombo . In 1959 he won first prize in the competition in Paris . In 1977 Hakobjan won the first prize in the competition in the city of Karlovy Vary . In 1982 Hakobjan was awarded as a People's Artist of the USSR .
