The Harvard Law Review is a legal journal published by students at Harvard Law School . The monthly magazine is considered the most prestigious and the most cited legal magazine in the United States. Issues appear monthly from November to June, the circulation is around 8,000 copies.
The Harvard Law Review Association is an associate editor of the Bluebook , the primary authority on the format of legal citations in the United States.
history
The first edition of the Law Review appeared on April 15, 1887. It was largely the result of the initiative of Louis Brandeis , a Harvard alumnus and later judge at the United States Supreme Court .
Former members of the Harvard Law Review Team include US Supreme Court Justices Ruth Bader Ginsburg , Antonin Scalia , Stephen Breyer and John G. Roberts, Jr. , the 44th President of the United States Barack Obama , the former Governor of the New York State Eliot Spitzer; and Pulitzer Prize winner for history Annette Gordon-Reed .
