Hasle-Rüegsau

Old, covered bridge

The name Hasle-Rüegsau is used by the joint post office, the train station, the secondary school and the old people's home in the two communities of Rüegsau and Hasle near Burgdorf in the canton of Bern , as well as some of the local associations. There is no place with this name, although it is marked on many maps. The two communities are separated by the river Emme . The common landmark is the old wooden bridge, which is the longest wooden arch bridge in Europe with an arch span of 60.15 m.
