Hasna Mohamed Dato

Hasna Mohamed Dato (born November 10, 1959 in Obock , French Somali Coast ) is a Djiboutian politician (RPP) and member of the Pan-African Parliament for her country.

Life

Hasna Mohamed Dato was born on November 10, 1959 in the small port town of Obock in what was then the French overseas department of the Somali Coast. She attended elementary school in Obock. From 1976 Dato worked for Obock's district administration.

In the parliamentary elections in 2003 for the fifth parliamentary term of the National Assembly , Dato won a seat in the constituency of Djibouti City as 35th on the electoral list of the Union pour la Majorité Présidentielle . She is a member of the popular Rassemblement pour le Progrès (RPP) party. During the legislative term, she chaired the Committee on General Legislation and Administration and was a member of the Committee on Foreign Affairs.

On March 10, 2004 Dato was elected by the National Assembly as one of five delegates to the Pan-African Parliament . She held the mandate until 2009.
