Hate Thomsen
Hasse Thomsén (born February 27, 1942 in Gothenburg , † April 26, 2004 ) was a Swedish boxer . Thomsén was a bronze medalist at the 1972 Olympic Games .
Career
amateur
In 1970 Thomsén was Swedish heavyweight champion (+81 kg) and won the Scandinavian championships in 1972. In the same year he started for Sweden at the 1972 Olympic Games , where he won over Jean Bassomben, Cameroon (4: 1), and Carroll Morgan, Canada (KO 3rd), and a semi-final defeat against Ion Alexe , Romania (5-0), the Olympic bronze medal.
professional
In 1973 Thomsén played his first professional fight against Mariano Echevarria which ended in a draw. His remaining four fights were not very successful either. He lost one and the other three were drawn.
