Haukivuori is a place in eastern Finland and was an independent municipality until 2006 . On January 1, 2007, Haukivuori was incorporated into the city of Mikkeli .

The community existed since 1873 and included the parish village (Finnish kirkonkylä ) Haukivuori and the station village ( Asemankylä ) the places Häkkilä, Kantala, Nykälä, Pitkäaho, Moilala, Pohjalahti, Tervalahti, Tuliniemi and Taipale. The old town center is the church village; Today's parish church was built from bricks in 1951 after the previous wooden building, built in 1790, burned out in 1949. In the 1950s, the municipal administration was relocated to the station village a few kilometers to the south, which is now also the focus of the settlement.

The landscape around Haukivuori is characterized by numerous lakes and post-glacial ridges. The 165.7 m high Saksalanharju is probably the largest drumlin in Europe.

In sporting terms, Haukivuori stands out as the venue for the first world championship in swamp volleyball. It took place from June 29-30, 2006 in the Rajasuo swamp.
