Hauptwache (Bamberg)

The former Hauptwache at Hauptwachstraße 16 in Bamberg is a two-storey building made of sandstone in the Baroque style with a mansard roof .

Between 1772 and 1774 it was built for the military on behalf of Prince Bishop Adam Friedrich von Seinsheim . The construction was carried out by Johann Joseph Vogel according to plans by architect Johann Georg von Roppel . The military trophy and coat of arms reliefs were created by the sculptor Johann Bernhard Kamm (1736–1816).

There are now business premises on the ground floor and living rooms on the upper floor.
