The house at Gartenstrasse 16 in the Rhineland-Palatinate municipality of Hermersberg is a historic former farm built around 1856 . The listed building was renovated in 1986 and has served as a residential building ever since.
Location and history
The house was built in the historic center of the municipality of Hermersberg; directly opposite is the old village fountain. The sandstone building served as a farm; from one around 1844, d. H. In front of the actual farmhouse, built barn, only remains of the wall and an archway are preserved in its original state. These were built over from 1985–1987 with a more modern house. The original years of construction of the barn and house are noted in the keystone . In 2015–2016 the building and the attached rear building (former barn) were renovated on the outside.
