The House floor in Darmstadt , Dieburger Road 203, is an upper-class house, which the architect Peter base built from 1949 to 1950 as a private residence.

The building was designed as a residential and studio building with a floor area of around 260 square meters. Stylistically, the house can be seen as a further development of the architecture of the 1920s.

The house looks rather closed on the north side facing Dieburger Straße, while on the south side it is open to the garden with many windows and glazed doors. The one and a half story house has a pent roof that rises to the south. The facades are characterized by light-dark contrasts, whereby the elongated structure, the window grilles and the corner glazing of the veranda result in a horizontal emphasis. There are round windows in the east facade. The colored glazed window on the west side of the house is the work of Helmut Lander .

The garden also has a water basin framed with natural stone slabs.

Haus Grund is a typical example of post-war modernism in Darmstadt and is a listed building .
