history

description

It was built in the forms of the latest Romanesque style around the middle of the 13th century, probably together with the eastern part of the church. The two-story tufa building has two gables: the Gothic west gable was added later and shows a stepped stepped gable and a wide Romanesque cornice under the roof. The east gable was restored by Pastor Dauzenberg and is divided into four floors. The top floor shows a Romanesque twin window framed by a round bar, which was still walled in with tuff in the 19th century, but is now open again. In the 19th century, the third floor had two rectangular windows spanned with old relief arches. These were subsequently designed as Romanesque twin windows. The second floor shows a round-arched screen into which a twin window was broken. This was still walled in with tuff in the 19th century, but is now open again. The ground floor shows a double window closed in the cloverleaf arch with twice stepped walls. This window was also walled up with tuff early on, but is now open again.

There was once a chimney on the north side, which has not been preserved, although two walled-in round arches of it remained visible. On the south side above and below there are three large new windows. On the ground floor you can see an old (walled up) window closed in the clover leaf arch.
