History and description

The Sutter house was built in 1908. The building, which was inspired by the traditionalist style, was broken in many ways and richly decorated, as well as the entire interior was designed by the architect Conrad Sutter . Sutter was also the builder of the villa .

The Villa Haus Sutter was the last in a series of three individual houses that were built for the "Hessian State Exhibition" in 1908 by private clients. According to the exhibition catalog, the houses were exhibited against the jury's protest under the architect's own artistic responsibility.
