House Veilchenstrasse 23

The house at Veilchenstrasse 23 in Karlsruhe was built in 1901 by the architects Hermann Billing and Josef Mallebrein as a residential and commercial building. It is a listed building .

A butcher's shop was on the ground floor, while the upper floors each housed two four-room apartments. The facade was partly made of white, yellow-green Bretten sandstone , otherwise it was plastered white. The stone carvings were also carried out in yellow-green Bretten sandstone. The roof was covered with German slate . The construction costs amounted to 50,000 marks .
