House Wilsdruffer Strasse 20

from Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The house at Wilsdruffer Straße 20 was a residential building in Dresden . In 1945 the building was destroyed.

According to Cornelius Gurlitt , the bay window of the house was a "delightful work". This bay window was two-story and adorned with angel heads on the corners. On the parapet of the first floor of the bay window there were elaborate reliefs, on the side two beehives were depicted in the relief, which were probably works from around 1870. According to Cornelius Gurlitt , the other details such as the angels' heads on the corners, flower hangings on the parapet of the upper floor and the cartouches on the parapets of the side view refer to the time around 1660.

Stefan Hertzig describes that Klengel's decorative shapes "adorned Dresden bay windows of the 17th century with a" very strong, swirling, juicy look ", including those of the house at Wilsdruffer Strasse 20.
