history
The one- and two-storey villa with its turret was built in 1847 in the Romantic era in a somewhat Tudor style for the merchant and shipowner Johannes Tideman (n) on the Lesum ; the street is named after him. Tideman (n) comes from an old Bremen family who also had councilors and senators in the Bremen council and Bremen parents . The architect of the house is not known.
Today (2018) the building with the 6000 m² garden is operated by the City of Bremen as the Haus Windeck children's and family center . In 2017 there were seven preschool groups with 132 children. The neighboring property with the Grohner Utkiek house for crèche groups is also part of the facility.
