House of the retail association
The house of the retail trade association at Kaiserstraße 42 in Düsseldorf - Pempelfort was built in 1952 according to plans by Helmut Hentrich for the retail trade association of the Rhine province .
Hubert Petschnigg was an employee . It is a reinforced concrete frame structure with a grid facade clad in stone. The house has six floors, of which the top is set back. The windows are large, the window reveals are very deep, the windows are drawn down to the floor. A grid in the shape of a diamond serves as a railing ornament. It was still one of Henrich's neo-classical designs, who "swung in after his neo-classical designs and a short transition phase [to] the line drawn up by Schneider-Esleben and Pfau".
