The Hausbachfall via ferrata is a via ferrata that is located just north of Reit im Winkl in the Chiemgau Alps . Despite its rather short length and a climbing time of no more than two hours, it is used frequently. The degree of difficulty is categorized with a maximum of "C" (difficult), but mostly with "B" (moderately difficult). The path is located directly in a gorge . The Hausbach runs always on the left . Especially the waterfall, which is located in the upper part, swells strongly when it rains. The rise in water is not dangerous for climbers of the path, as it is always at a safe height.

In the path there is a rope bridge consisting of three ropes. There are also two ladders at the beginning, wooden beams further in the middle and a tree trunk bridge directly at the exit. You can descend via the neighboring path on the other side of the stream. From the exit, the climber can optionally hike to the local mountain ( 1080  m above sea  level ) in an hour .

particularities

The Steig is the only TÜV- tested Steig. When the snow melts, the trail can be under water in places. Water also drips from above in some places.
