Havnø Mølle

Havnø Mølle (Eng. Havnø Mill ) is a thatched Dutch windmill from 1842, which is located on a former island east of Hadsund between the Mariagerfjord and a forest.

North Jutland's oldest preserved windmill is a listed building, was fully restored in the 1990s and is now a museum . In the mill, coarse rye flour is ground for bread, feed grain and various grains. The mill was built in connection with the Havnø manor, which is characterized by a long avenue of black alder trees . The manor was only built in 1846 and originally belonged to the Visborggård manor. Havnø is probably the only mansion in Denmark that was not designed by an architect, as local craftsmen built the buildings.

On Havnø there is also a 100 meter by 25 meter large Køkkenmødding .
