He Chao ( Chinese  何 超 ; born February 11, 1992 in Zhanjiang , Guangdong ) is a Chinese water diver who competes in artificial jumping from the 1 and 3 m board and synchronized jumping from the 3 m board.

He Chao is the younger brother of world and Olympic champion He Chong and started diving at the age of six after visiting his brother often during training and having been invited by his brother to try it out for himself. His sister He Shuting also competes in water jumping.

He made his debut in international competitions in 2009. In 2010 he became Junior World Champion in synchronized jumping from the 3-meter board in his age group. From 2012 he started at the FINA Grand Prix and achieved several podium places and victories, especially in individual and synchronized jumping from the 3-meter board. In 2013 he started in the World Series for the first time and immediately achieved placements on the podium. At the 2014 Asian Games in Incheon, he won gold from the 1-meter board in front of his brother and silver from the 3-meter board behind Cao Yuan . At the 2015 World Championships in Kazan , he won gold from the 3-meter board in the absence of his brother, after he had won the title in the three previous events. He Chao finished seventh on the 1-meter board.

In 2017 He won the silver medal on the 1-meter board at the World Swimming Championships in Budapest , behind his compatriot Peng Jianfeng .
