The Heaney Glacier is a 6 km long glacier on the north coast of South Georgia . It flows immediately northwest of the Cook Glacier in a first northeast, then east direction to Saint Andrews Bay .
The South Georgia Survey carried out a survey of the glacier from 1951 to 1952. The UK Antarctic Place-Names Committee named it in 1955 after John Bryan Heaney (1931-2010), who was involved in the survey.
