Heather White

Heather White (* 20th century ) is a British classical philologist with a focus on Greek studies .

White was a Lecturer in Classics at Birkbeck College , London , and worked there closely at Giuseppe Giangrande's Classics Research Center . Since then she has worked as a private scholar and lives in London.

Like her academic teacher, White works on Hellenistic (especially on Theocritus ), imperial and late ancient Greek poetry, especially in text-critical and microphilological terms, like this one she methodically concentrates on the precise observation and interpretation of language use.
