The HECTAS Facility Services Foundation and Co. KG is a company for infrastructural building services (u. A. Building cleaning , building services and security services ), with headquarters in Wuppertal .

The company has over 40 branches in Germany, Austria and the Netherlands. Hectas has 32 branches and more than 80 locations in Germany. The managing directors of the German subsidiary are Frank Keuper and Andreas Richter.

As part of the Vorwerk family of entrepreneurs, hectas employs around 10,000 people in Europe. The company's total turnover in 2018 was 211 million euros. The largest share is generated in Germany with around 151 million euros.

history

Today's company was founded in 1974 as Hygienic Service Gebäudereinigung und Umweltpflege KG (HS) with headquarters in Wuppertal and branches in Hanover , Frankfurt am Main and Schleswig-Holstein . Hectas emerged from a joint venture between Vorwerk and the company Rudolf Weber building cleaning and building services from Essen and initially employed around 300 people as a cleaning company.

After it was founded, the company expanded in Germany and internationally through acquisitions of related companies. Hectas entered the Austrian market in 1981, followed by agencies in the Netherlands , the Czech Republic , Poland , Hungary , Belgium and in 2009 in Luxembourg . All national companies, with the exception of the core countries Germany, the Netherlands and Austria, were later sold.

In 2013 hectas bought the company ELITE Objects Service, which will continue to operate as a wholly owned subsidiary under the name ELITE Facility Services.

In 2017 the company took over parts of the Helbeck group from Forst (Lausitz). The group departments will continue to be run as independent corporate units. These include Forster Industrie- und Kesselreinigungsgesellschaft mbH, hectas Gebäudereinigungsservice GmbH, FAMA Gesellschaft für infrastructelles Facility Management mbH and the NKW- und Kfz-Service-Center GmbH. In 1997 the company name hectas was introduced, with "H" and "S" standing for the founding company Hygienic Service .

Certifications

hectas' quality and environmental management is certified for all branches according to DIN EN ISO 9001 and 14001 as well as BS OHSAS 18001. The hectas security services locations are also certified in accordance with DIN 77200.
