Hede Helfrich

Hede Helfrich (* 1944 ) is a German psychologist and university professor . Her main research interests are human resource management, cross-cultural psychology, psychological error research and the psychology of the times.

Life

Helfrich studied psychology and general linguistics at the Universities of Heidelberg and Hamburg and graduated with a diploma. Then a doctorate it in 1983 at the University of Giessen Dr. phil. in psychology, general linguistics and phonetics. In 1989 she qualified as a Dr. phil. habil. at the University of Regensburg , where she was an academic adviser at the Institute for Psychology from 1980 to 1996. From 1995 to 1997 she worked as a substitute professor at the universities of Jena and Chemnitz. From 1997 to 2009 she was director of the Institute for Psychology at the University of Hildesheim as a professor of psychology. From 2009 to 2012 she was professor for intercultural communication at the Technical University of Chemnitz . Since 2009 she has been an honorary professor at the Nizhegorod State University of Architecture and Construction, Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. On December 9, 2004, in Nizhny Novgorod (Russia) , she was awarded an honorary doctorate from the Nizhegorod State University of Architecture and Construction (NNGASU). Since March 2012 she has been a visiting professor at the University of Finance and Economics of Northeast China (DUFE) in Dalian , China.
