Hedwig Runowski

Hedwig Runowski , born Auguste Hedwig Kaiser (born May 12, 1895 in Gießen , † July 29, 1958 in Cologne ) was a German politician ( SPD ). From 1950 to 1956 she was a member of the state parliament of North Rhine-Westphalia .

Life

After elementary and middle school Hedwig Runowski attended a trade school and trained as a bookkeeper . From 1920 to 1933 Runowski was a member of the Central Association of Employees . In 1920 she also joined the Social Democratic Party of Germany (SPD) and became a member of the Workers' Welfare Association . Between 1922 and 1933 she worked full-time for the SPD.

In 1948 Runowski became a city councilor in Cologne . She was elected to the North Rhine-Westphalian state parliament via the SPD state list in the second and third electoral periods. She was a member of parliament from July 5, 1950 until her early resignation on October 22, 1956.

Since 1933 she was married to Bruno Franz Runowski. She died at the age of 63 in her Cologne apartment.
