The Heidegarten Gommern is a garden southeast of the city of Gommern in Saxony-Anhalt .

The heather garden with a total area of ​​12,600 m² was created on the site of a former animal carcass processing plant . It has a design based on the heathland . 6,000 tons of sand were heaped up to create the garden. There are 6 types of heather with 35 different types of plants in the heather garden. A total of 40,000 heather plants were planted. In addition, there are typical trees and shrubs. The heather also occurs naturally in the area.

Since 2012, citizens have been involved in the “GARTENREICHes GOMMERN Initiative” for the preservation of the heather garden.
