The Blahovishensky Raion (Ukrainian Благовіщенський район / Blahowishenskyj rajon ; Russian Благовещенский район / Blagoweschtschenski rajon ) is a district in the Blahovishov district in the administrative center of Kirovohrad Oblast in the city of Blahovishk , in the administrative center of Kirovohrad .
geography
Located in the west of Kirovohrad Oblast, it is bordered by Uman Raion (in Cherkasy Oblast ) to the north, Holovaniwsk Raion to the east, Osero Krywe Raion (in Mykolaiv Oblast ) to the south-west and Sawran Raion to the southwest (in Odessa Oblast ) and in the west to Hajworon Raion .
The Synyzja (Синиця) and the river Netezi (Нетеці) flow through the Rajon in a southerly direction , both of which flow into the southern border river, the Southern Bug , with altitudes between 120 and 190 meters.
history
The Rajon was founded in 1923 as Rajon Danylowa Balka (with the Rajonszentrum Danylowa Balka ), at the end of 1928 the Rajonszentrum was moved to today's Blahowischenske (then Uljanowka or previously Hruschka), the name of the Rajon was changed to Rajon Hruschka . In 1932 the Rajon area came to Odessa Oblast , in 1939 finally to Kirowohrad Oblast, during the Second World War the Rajon was subordinate to the General District of Nikolayev , district of Gaiworon in the Reich Commissariat of Ukraine from 1942 . After the Second World War, the Raion was renamed Ulyanovka Raion in 1949 (Ukrainian Ульяновський район / Uljanowskyj rajon), in 1991 it came to what is now Ukraine and since May 19, 2016, as part of the decommunization of Ukraine, it has been named Blahowishshenske Raion analogous to the city .
