Heidemarie Ehlert

Heidemarie Ehlert b. Liedtke (born September 1, 1950 in Halle (Saale) ) is a German politician ( Die Linke ).

From 1967 to 1970 she trained as a mechanical draftsman and then studied economics in Halle (Saale) until 1974. From 1990 she worked in the local tax administration, since 1993 as chief tax inspector in the tax office.

From 1969 Ehlert was a member of the SED and from 1989 a member of the PDS and its successor parties. Since 1998 she has been one of the chairmen of her party's federal financial audit commission. From 1990 to 2004 she was city councilor in Halle (Saale), from 1998 to 2002 a member of the German Bundestag . She has been a councilor in Dessau-Roßlau since 2004 .
