Heidemarie Härtl
Heidemarie Härtl (born December 22, 1943 in Oelsnitz / Vogtl. , † November 23, 1993 in Leipzig ) was a German poet.
She studied at the literature institute "Johannes R. Becher" in Leipzig , but was de-registered in 1970 because of dissidence. One reason for this decision was her participation in the Leipzig reservoir reading . Härtl wrote poems that could not be published in the GDR.
Heidemarie Härtl was married to Gert Neumann , also a poet. The marriage resulted in the son Holden Härtl , who today is the professor for English linguistics at the University of Kassel .
A later relationship with Ibrahim Böhme , who himself was responsible for the state security, failed. Härtl and Neumann were both under massive persecution by the State Security . As a result, his marriage to Gert Neumann broke up, Härtl took psychiatric treatment and died of cancer in 1993.
Heidemarie Härtl's grave is in the Leipzig - Leutzsch cemetery.
