Heidi Marie Vestrheim

Heidi Marie Vestrheim (born April 11, 1977 in Øystese ) is a Norwegian singer-songwriter , producer and label owner . Her folk- oriented style is compared to that of Laura Veirs , Mary Gauthier or Alison Krauss , all of whom she counts as her role models.

Vestrheim began to write songs at the age of 17. In 2000 she released her first album with the electronic funk band Atakama, which broke up after two years. Vestrheim founded her own label BlueBox Records, on which her EP Pigs was released in 2003 and her album Sign and Fiction in 2004 . Since then she has been working as a full-time musician and label owner. In 2006 she released her second album Beautiful Horses , followed by I Want to Go in 2012 .

In addition to tours in Norway, she has performed in Germany and China as well as in larger cities such as London and Reykjavík . In Germany she was a guest at Inas Nacht (2013).
