Heike Esser

Heike Esser (born July 4, 1973 in Bedburg ) is a German swimmer and Olympic participant. The 1.72 m tall and 61 kg heavy athlete started for SV Rhenania Cologne .

She was able to place herself at German championships several times:

  • 100 m chest: 1987 runner-up, 1988 champion
  • 200 m chest: 1987 runner-up, 1988 champion, 1989 3rd place

In 1988 she took part in the individual competitions over 200 m breast at the Olympic Games in Seoul . In 2: 41.34 minutes, however, she was eliminated in the preliminary run and came in 34th out of 43 starters.

Heike Esser is married and now bears the name Becker.
