Heiko Blume

Heiko Blume (born February 13, 1967 in Lüneburg ) is a German politician ( CDU ) and since November 1, 2011 District Administrator of the Uelzen district ( Lower Saxony ).

Life

After graduating from high school, Blume trained as a savings bank clerk at the Kreissparkasse Soltau and studied law in Münster and Kiel. Following his legal clerkship in Lüneburg, he worked at the Norddeutsche Landesbank in Hanover and as a lawyer in Bremen before moving to the Uelzen district on August 22, 2005 as the first district councilor.

There he was responsible, among other things, for the areas of human resources, organization and finance and was the general representative of the Uelzen district administrator. At the same time, he was managing director of the Uelzen Lüchow-Dannenberg Health Department.

On September 11, 2011, he was elected as a CDU candidate for full-time district administrator in the Uelzen district, initially for an eight-year term of office. In the district election on May 26, 2019, District Administrator Dr. Heiko Blume was confirmed in office with 69 percent of the valid votes. The new term of office begins on November 1, 2019 and ends on October 31, 2026.

Blume is married and has three children.
