Career

Petrick played in the youth teams of BSG Energie Cottbus from 1979 to 1989. On February 23, 1991 he made his debut for the first men's team in the GDR league when he was in the starting line-up on matchday 14 in the 2-1 defeat against BSG Stahl Brandenburg . This was his only assignment in a professional league. In the following season 1991/92 Petrick completed 26 games for the first team in the third-class NOFV-Oberliga and scored one goal. Since 1992/93 he was mostly used in the reserve team and therefore only made a few league games. From 2007 to 2009 Petrick worked as a trainer at Spremberger SV 1862. After that he was the trainer of SG Sielow until 2011 .
