Heiligengeist Bridge

The Heiligengeistbrücke in Hamburg is a road bridge built between 1883 and 1885. It spans the Alsterfleet .

The 51 m long and 16.36 m wide arched brick bridge with arch widths of 7.5, 17.5 and 7.5 m connects Admiralitätsstrasse and Rödingsmarkt . It was built from 1883 to 1885 according to plans by chief engineer Franz Andreas Meyer .

The bridge is named after the Heiligengeist Hospital , which was formerly east of this bridge. The building is registered as cultural monument no. 11853 (formerly 530) in the list of cultural monuments of the city of Hamburg .
