particularities Motorway triangle Suhl

The wooded, 513.0 m high mountain in the western urban area of Suhl in Thuringia is known as the Holy Mountain .

The Holy Mountain lies on the corridor border of the districts of Albrechts and Suhl-Heinrich . The Suhl motorway triangle was placed over the eastern slope of the mountain ; it has been connecting the federal motorway 73 with the A 71 since 2006 .

The remaining part of the mountain is used for forestry. On the northern flank of the mountain near Albrechts there are still agricultural areas that go back to medieval clearing activities. In the area you can still clearly see the terraced arable land.
