History and description

Heiligkreuzberg has been a popular excursion destination for Darmstadt residents since the Biedermeier period . Around 1900, today's building ensemble was built in neo-Gothic style according to plans by the architect Leonhard Schäfer. The building also includes a single-storey shed directly on Dieburger Strasse .

The details of the structure include the tower , the half-timbered structure and the entrance portal with a wrought-iron gate and arch.

The Remise - a decorated half-timbered building - was stylistically adapted to the hall structure on the main building.
