Route support

The association receives a fixed amount from the city every year. He distributes this to individual associations in the Feldkirchen district , which look after paths, shelters and benches. The work is done on a voluntary basis by the individual.

The association looks after large parts of the Rheinsteig . He carried out the preliminary planning for Deichstadtweg. This serves as an access route to the Rheinsteig. The Deichstadtweg runs on the Thuringia-Rhine hiking trail between Engers Castle and the Rheinsteig .

Initiative "Allowing to grow old at home (Feldkirchen)"

At the initiative of the association, events have already taken place which help the citizens of Feldkirchen with information to stay in their houses until they are finished. The Feldkirchen local advisory council, the Neuwied senior citizens' advisory board and the Feldkirchen workers' welfare organization were actively involved from the start, and events take place in their senior citizens' meeting place before meetings or monthly consultation hours of the local advisory board.
In this project, the association works together with an association for the establishment and operation of communal living .
In Rhineland, the Ministry of Social Affairs, Labor, Health and Demography already supports such projects.

history

On February 10, 1895 the association was founded on the initiative of Carl Moskopf ( Fahr ) and the teacher Vollmar ( Hüllenberg ). Initially, the association's tasks were "the maintenance and promotion of tourism and the beautification of the Feldkirchen parish". Soon a lookout point followed at the beginning of Hüllenberg with a fountain and benches. In 1903 a refuge was built on the Kappel, in 1904 a small grotto by the fountain in Hüllenberg.

In 1911, the association supported road construction in the Kehlbachtal from its own funds. A shelter was built on the linden tree. In 1913 the route was continued through the Kehlbachtal to Langenspitz. The little temple was inaugurated in 1929 and the association was renamed "Transport and Beautification Association".

The forest swimming pool in the Kehl was created in 1954. In 1955, the outdoor enclosure in Höstert (zoo) was built. Since 1957, the association has again been named "Feldkirchen Transport and Improvement Association". In 1968 the road construction is paid for for the first time.

In 1994 the so-called "Schoppenweg" (connecting route between Leutesdorf and Feldkirchen) was handed over by VV Leutesdorf. For the 100th anniversary, the HVVF planted four trees on the old sports field. In 1997 the grave of the painter Hugo Weischet was bought and redesigned and his works were exhibited on the occasion of his 100th birthday. In 1998 the association renamed itself again: It is now called “Heimat- und Verschönerungsverein Feldkirchen e. V. “He published the following brochures:

  • “105 years of the Heimat- und Beautification Association Feldkirchen am Rhein: anno 1895–2000”, text: Friedel-Wulf Kupfer
  • 2001 "Karl-Marx-Strasse No 33 or a house has a birthday: anno 1701–2001", text Bruno Zeitz.
