Local history museum Hanerau-Hademarschen
The local history museum Hanerau-Hademarschen is a local history museum in Schleswig-Holstein that has existed since 1984 . It is located in a former school built in 1883 in the center of Hanerau-Hademarschen .
exhibition
The museum shows collections from prehistory and early history as well as objects from the local history of Hanerau-Hademarschen. There are permanent exhibitions about the poet Theodor Storm and other personalities who lived and worked in Hanerau-Hademarschen as well as about the history of the Kiel Canal . Other items come from the St. Severin Church , which burned down in 2003 , houses and courtyards in the region and from an old classroom from the post-war period. In two rooms, pictures, maps and objects from the luggage of the refugees from the time of the Second World War are exhibited.
Organizational matters
The museum is open in the afternoon on the first Sunday of each month. Admission is free. Permanent and changing exhibitions are presented.
