Heimatverein Kraichgau

The Heimatverein Kraichgau eV was founded in 1972 to preserve the awareness that the Kraichgau is an independent geographical unit in the northwest of Baden-Württemberg and represents a historical landscape that has grown over centuries.

The Heimatverein Kraichgau was founded in Sinsheim in 1972 as a reaction to the dissolution of the Sinsheim district , which was the only district entirely located in Kraichgau.

aims

The aim of the Heimatverein Kraichgau is to promote local research and cultivation in the whole of Kraichgau beyond the district and administrative district boundaries, the preservation and care of the cultural assets in the Kraichgau, the protection of nature, the environment and the landscape.

activities

The Heimatverein Kraichgau tries to achieve these goals through an event program with lectures, visits, excursions and discussion groups.

The association maintains a Kraichgau library in Schloss Gochsheim , in which all literature on the Kraichgau is collected and made accessible free of charge.

The Heimatverein Kraichgau has the following working groups:
