Heimbacher Brunnenfest

The Heimbacher Brunnenfest is a traditional folk festival in Meisenheim , which is celebrated annually on the first weekend in July from Friday to Monday. The location of the event is the festival area "in der Heimbach".

In addition to amusement establishments such as amusement rides and shooting ranges, the gastronomy with home-style cuisine and wines of the region forms the main part of the feeders, although some "hawkers" are also represented every year.

The festival, which is popularly known for short as "Heimbach", has been celebrated since 1837 in honor of the fountain in the form of an obelisk . This well was built in 1835 on the only source of the former community "Heimbach".

Anniversaries

The last anniversaries were celebrated in 2005 for the 170th Heimbacher Brunnenfest. At the 175th Heimbach there was another historical parade on Sunday, July 4th 2010.
