Heinrich Blank (rower)

Heinrich Blank (* in the 20th century) is a former German rowing athlete .

Heinrich Blank comes from Mannheim . Since he was interested in rowing from a young age, he became a member of the Mannheim rowing club Amicitia from 1876 . Here he rowed mainly in the Mannheim eighth. Since he was one of the top performers of his club early on, he was soon used in national competitions. With the club eight of the Mannheim rowing club Amicitia, he took part in the German rowing championships in 1953, in which his boat was made up of Klaus Daughtermann , Dieter Kempf , Paul Debritz , Siegfried Kuhlmey-Becker , Manfred Bartholomä , Walter Salzmann , Rolf Alles , Heinrich Blank and helmsman Hans Bichelmeier rowed first place and thus the championship title.

The eighth of the Mannheim rowing club was able to repeat this success in the following year 1954, with Heinrich Blank rowing again in the boat and thus again becoming German champion in eighth.

For winning the German rowing championship (eighth), he and the Mannheim master team were awarded the silver laurel leaf by Federal President Theodor Heuss on December 1, 1953 .
